Hy Tornado I just orderd the bundle universla jtag and I need to write the REDBOOT load strap into a Actiontec mi424wr Router used by Veriozn for their FIOS customers.

the unit has a js28f640 Intel Startaflash ship it's a 8192Kx8  th unit has 128k of flash too on a couple of Hynyx hy57v281620etp-h.

Verizon has disabled TELNET in these units so you can't change the Jungo boot and replace it with redboot

please let me know what software I need to do this too.

спасибо (spasibo)  ???

no matter what tjtag does NOT recognise the chip.  I have tried both buffered and unbuffured pins looking at the pins used on the db25 on your tutorial for the linksys I selected the appropiate pins on the 20 pin jtag for the Actiontec mi424wr

I put db #2  to  jtag pin TDI #5
db#3   to jtag pin TCK #9
db#4   to jtag pin TMS #7
        db#5   to jtag pin TRST_N #3
db#13  to jtag pin TDO #13
