I was giving support only to Diygadget's USB key extractor. How 74850c get their key is through extraction. So you have to select both an I/O Port and COM port. Switch the COM port to USB. USB Xtractor switch is grayed out because you are not using it.

If you want to try using it, connect up and turn on everything for the Xtractor Reader, install it's drivers, and restart JungleFlasher. Go to DVDKey32 tab, select your ports and checkmark "USB Xtractor Switch". Final step again is to hold the probe down on the correct R707 point and click DVDKey32 button. You need to use half-open tray to power up drive.

I tried to extract the key over and over again but it's not working. Any recommendations for me? I feel like the usb extractor from the kit did not work.

Assuming you already installed the USB extractor drivers from Tiaowiki (how does your computer detect the Extractor and with what name?)

Try to let the USB Extractor needle communicate with an electronic device like a multimeter or breadboard/battery setup. Is power/resistance/continuity going through the needle?

Also when you are touching the R707 point with the needle. Don't forget it can contract and expand if you hold it down deep enough.

If nothing works, use the Xtractor Reader instead, power everything up on the device, and tick the "USB Xtractor Switch" checkbox and select the right COM/Serial/USB port is on. Remember to select your I/O port.

I don;t know how to check the usb extractor, do I only need to try to contact the needle with a battery...and how to know it work perfectly. On my computer, it detects the dvd drive the same as the tutorial presents, and the usb extractor like below:

I scratched the area around the point a little bit but it seems not working at all. I don't know why

Well for the Diygadget extractor, you can use a multimeter to check the values for when it is plugged in and when it is plugged out. Are they the same or different? If it's the same, then it is not working.

Since you are using the Xtractor Reader (USB-Serial) then you have to tick the "USB Xtractor Switch" box in JungleFlasher. After that, there's a little button on the Xtractor to press to automatically start the key extraction process without having to select "DVDKey32". Be sure you are still the probe down on the R707 contact point.

If you are not using the Xtractor Reader but Diygadget's, use a multimeter to check if it is working then press DVDKey32.

I used the key extractor coming together with the connectivity kit that I bought from Tiao store on ebay. I've tested the key extractor with the multimeter and I realized that the needle did not work at all as the result of the test. I think I need another key extractor.

I've just tried to open the the key xtractor and saw that the needle did not connected with the wire. I think that the key extractor is defective at all and that's why I could not extract the key

It might be possible to repair it yourself with ease. Not sure if you can get a new one for free if you return or don't return your previous one. Open a support ticket at http://www.csbooth.com/ from http://www.diygadget.com/ (Click "Customer Care" tab). Select "Open New Ticket" and fill in all the details. The Help topic should be "diygadget support".

To repair it, simply tape down any loose wire with ordinary tape (preferably transparent). It will still conduct right through as long as the wire touches the circuitry on the key extractor. Make sure you have an idea of where the wire was supposed to be before in the first place. The key extractor shouldn't be complicated to figure out. Tape the loose wire onto the circuitry and try extracting the key again.

So both your Diygadget's/EasyMG/Tiaowiki/eBay USB Key Extractor and Xecuter CK3/Maximus USB Xtractor probe are damaged?

I only have the Tiao Key Extractor from the kit I bought from Tiao's ebay store... and it does not work at all... I think that it's defective. I tried to ask for a new one because this one is not working at all.
